My stay at Domus Mariae Albergo was quite enjoyable due to its fantastic waterfront location and charming, spacious rooms. The staff were welcoming and eager to offer helpful advice. However, there are maintenance issues that need addressing, like the access to the shower and bathroom fittings. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

I found my room to be spacious, with a balcony that offered amazing sea views. It was comfortable and clean, although I faced a minor issue with the kettle not being properly cared for. Still, I enjoyed my stay immensely.

The staff members, especially Cinsia at the front desk, were incredibly helpful. They provided good local recommendations and genuinely made my experience more pleasant. Despite a missed opportunity to mention my early check-out, their overall hospitality stood out.
Location

The location in Ortigia is unbeatable, right by the sea. I loved being within walking distance to the main piazza and the ocean swimming platform. However, nighttime walks could be a bit risky due to local disturbances.

Breakfast was offered at the sister hotel across the street. While basic and tasty, I was disappointed with some items running out early. It made the dining experience feel less satisfactory than it could have been.
Facilities

The hotel had a lovely roof garden with nice views, which I appreciated. However, the absence of a lift made carrying luggage a bit of a hassle, especially with the steep staircase.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Domus Mariae Albergo, as it boasts a fantastic location right by the sea and offers a charming atmosphere thanks to its historical background. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially people like Cinsia, whose local knowledge made my trip even better. However, I did encounter some issues with cleanliness in my room, particularly with the bedding, which affected my comfort during the stay. I may not return due to this concern.

I had a lovely stay at Domus Mariae Albergo, with stunning sea views that totally stole the show. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help, but the breakfast left a bit to be desired. Plus, my air conditioning wasn't working perfectly, which was a bummer. Overall, it's a charming spot in a prime location but could use some tweaks.

The hotel facilities were decent, though I did miss a restaurant or bar on-site, which would have been nice.

The staff were incredibly helpful, making my visit even more pleasant with great local recommendations. However, I did find the lack of an elevator a bit challenging, as I had to navigate stairs with my luggage. Overall, it was a good experience that I'd recommend for its location and hospitality.
